Getting started
What exactly does Cuura build for me?
Cuura builds and launches a complete practice-management website tailored to your information. Depending on the package you choose, this includes your bio page, services listing, contact form, booking link integration, and — on Practice and Studio — client records, invoice builder, and secure document exchange.
You provide the content (bio, headshot, existing site if you have one). We handle everything technical: hosting, domain, SSL, updates, and ongoing maintenance. You do not need to touch a single line of code.
Who is Cuura for?
Cuura serves regulated health professionals in Ontario — registered massage therapists, psychotherapists, psychologists, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors and others who answer to a college and hold obligations under PHIPA.
If you belong to a regulated profession we have not listed, reach out. If your practice is not regulated, Cuura will still build you a site, but the PHIPA-specific handling described here applies to custodians of personal health information.
How long does the build take?
Most builds take 3–7 business days from deposit to your preview link. After you approve the preview, your site typically goes live within 1–2 business days.
If you upload an existing website URL or documents, we extract your content automatically — this generally speeds up the process and reduces the back-and-forth.
What if I'm not happy with the preview?
Your package includes a revision round (one for Presence and Practice, two for Studio). You review the preview directly in your browser — no login required — and submit feedback through the page. We apply changes and send you an updated preview link.
You do not approve and pay the balance until you're satisfied. If the preview is significantly off from what was agreed, we address it before asking for final payment.
Pricing & billing
Why is there a build price and a monthly fee?
The build price covers the design, development, and launch of your site. The monthly fee covers hosting, domain renewal, security updates, and ongoing platform access — the same things you'd otherwise pay separately to a hosting provider, domain registrar, and developer.
You are not locked into a long-term contract. If you stop the monthly subscription, your site stops hosting — we don’t offer a "self-host" option at this time.
What is the 50% deposit?
You pay 50% of the build price (plus HST) when you sign up. This starts the build. The remaining 50% is due when you approve the preview — before your site goes live. The monthly fee starts after launch.
HST (13%) is applied to both the deposit and the balance, and is shown as a separate line item in your order summary so nothing is hidden.
Haven't received your preview link?
Check your spam folder — preview emails come from hello@cuura.ca. If it’s not there, email us and we will resend it. Please include the email address you used to sign up.
The build process
Do I need to write all my content from scratch?
No. If you have an existing website, paste the URL into your intake form and we'll extract your content automatically. If you have documents — a CV, intake forms, a bio on a directory listing — upload them and we'll pull the relevant details.
The only thing you'll write in the form is a short bio if you don't have one elsewhere. You can copy it from your CRPO directory listing, Psychology Today profile, or LinkedIn summary.
Can I make changes after launch?
Yes. Post-launch content updates — bio changes, new services, headshot swaps — are handled by contacting support. Minor text and image updates are included in your monthly fee. Structural changes (new pages, feature additions) are priced separately.
Privacy & data
How does Cuura handle client data under PHIPA?
All client data collected through your Cuura site is stored in Canadian-hosted infrastructure. We do not transfer personal health information across Canadian borders. Our data handling practices are designed to be compatible with PHIPA obligations for regulated health professionals in Ontario.
Plain language summary: Your clients' information stays in Canada. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train models. You retain full ownership of your client data. We are a tool you use to deliver care — not a data intermediary.
What analytics does Cuura use?
By default, all Cuura sites use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-preserving, cookie-free analytics tool hosted in Canada. No cross-border data transfer, no personal tracking, no advertising cookies.
If you want Google Analytics 4, you can add it as an optional add-on during signup. We'll explain what that means for cross-border data handling before you confirm — it's your call to make as the regulated professional responsible for your clients' data.
